KLF Insurance sponsors Bluefaced Leicester Sale at Welshpool

KLF Insurance was delighted to continue its support of the Bluefaced Leicester Sheep Breeders Association, sponsoring the Association’s annual sale of Bluefaced Leicester rams and females at Welshpool Livestock Market.

The day’s Overall Champion came from the strong tup lamb class, with Tom Jerman’s Church Farm W3 catching the eye of judge Andrew with his impressive scale and tremendous style.

A son of Newmills R1, who has bred exceptionally well for Tom since being purchased as a shearling at Carlisle for £1,800, W3 went on to sell for an impressive 1,300 guineas to J Hughes, Cwmbrith Isaf.

Church Farm enjoyed an outstanding sale, with their second lamb, W4, by Burndale T17, also making 1,300 guineas, selling to Messrs Edwards, Tyn Twll. Their third lamb, W5, had stood second to the champion earlier in the day and sold for 1,050 guineas, again to Cwmbrith Isaf.

There was further success for the Jerman flock with homebred T11, who sold for 1,250 guineas, making him the top-priced aged tup of the sale.

A fantastic day for Church Farm and a great showcase of the quality of the Bluefaced Leicester breed.

KLF Insurance is proud to support the agricultural community and events such as the Bluefaced Leicester Association Sale.
