Overwhelming Support for the James Corfield Fundraiser

James Corfield AuctionThe James Corfield fundraising evening was bigger and better than any of us could ever have imagined. Without doubt it was an incredibly emotional evening but a very successful one.  Over 600 people attended and  it has so far raised £31,000, which will increase as donations continue to come in.

The event was organised by Norman Lloyd Estate Agent as a tribute to the young teenager James Corfield who went missing at the Royal Welsh show in July.

“Mr Jonathon Evans, Managing Director at Norman Lloyd said: “The evening was bigger and better than any of us could have imagined. Myself, Rachel, Joe and Megan put in a lot of hard work organising the evening and I think we are all still a little shell shocked by the generosity of so many, those giving lots and those bidding.  To raise over £31,000 for such a worthy cause and one which was so essential during the search is some comfort during such a sad time.”

Jonathon Evans, who was Auctioneer on the night, said: “The atmosphere was electric. Without doubt it was an emotional evening but very successful and we are thrilled to have helped raise so much money for the BrecoBrecon Mountain Rescuen Mountain Search & Rescue charity.”

The funds raised will be donated to the Brecon Mountain Search & Rescue charity which played a fundamental role in the search for James.
